"Fresco Giclay Technique"

Fresco Giclay is a painting technique that combines the traditional "fresco" method with digital inkjet printing. It originated in Italy during the Renaissance period.

The fresco painting technique involves applying a fresh layer of plaster on a wall and using pigments dissolved in water to create the artwork while the plaster is still wet. As a result, the pigments become encapsulated in the plaster as it hardens, ensuring the colors remain vibrant and unfaded over time.

Fresco Giclay, on the other hand, takes the uncured plaster and turns it into sheets. These sheets are then printed upon using state-of-the-art pigment-based inkjet printers and digital data. This method faithfully reproduces the traditional fresco painting process, preserving its essence in a modern, digital format.
